Success at the Regional Signature Dish Awards

Wow it is so exciting. Two of our loyal restaurant customers have had great success in the HB Signature Dish Awards.
On Tuesday the 28th October the winners of the HB Signature Regional Dish were announced at the awards ceremony in front of a crowd of 180 hospitality and food industry people at the stunning HB Opera House. A mystery panel of local and out of town judges had the arduous task of tasting all of the dishes and deciding the winners.
There were two categories
Winner of the Formal category was Church Road Winery
With their entry of: Hawke’s Bay natural lamb loin marinated in Village Press lemon olive oil served on an eggplant ragout, with ‘True Earth’ Agria organic potato gnocchi, savoy cabbage, braised lamb and a roasted red pepper emulsion.
Head Chef Malcolm Redmond has been our most loyal restaurant customer in Hawke’s Bay. Congratulations to Malcolm and his team at Church Rd. We really appreciate your loyalty.
Runner Up of the Casual category was Westshore Inn.
With their entry of: Pan roasted HB Fish Fillets on ‘True Earth’ organic potatoes with fennel and lemon relish.
Head Chef Marty Clarkson has just returned from an eight year stint in Sydney restaurants. Marty is passionate about using local fresh produce and is inspired by the incredible quality and taste of organic produce.
